Daily Driven 911R Gets Upgraded!

We often see many collector or rare cars sit, collecting dust, not driven and enjoyed out on the open road. It’s nice to see such a driver’s car like the 911R driven, used the way it was meant to be used and even upgraded! A customer of ours brought his 911R, that he takes through the canyons and drives almost daily, in for upgrades!

While maintaining some of the signature styling the 911R is known for we added our GMG touch to it! For the exterior, we installed a set of custom Gunther Werks GW9 Fuchs 20”/21” wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, GMG Carbon fiber Window Air Diffusers, and we changed the 911R stripes from the factory red to black with a yellow outline.

This beauty also received our GMG WEC Rollbar in white and GMG Titanium Center Section Exhaust! This 911R is now one mean looking and sounding daily driver!

Lizard Green Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS gets Track Prepped and Carbon Fiber

A client of ours shipped us his Lizard Green 991.2 GT3 RS for some GMG love! He wanted to get this beauty track ready, but also add some flare to it. As if Lizard Green isn’t a loud enough color, we made it scream even louder!

On the exterior we added the 1016 Carbon Fiber Hood Vents, Fender Louvers, Side Vents, Rear Wind End Plates, and Techart Carbon Fiber Rear Deck Lid. Also installed are our GMG Window Air Diffusers, Rennline front tow hook, and clear front side markers.

To make this car safer when tracking, we installed the paint-matched Lizard Green GMG WEC Rollbar, GMG Substrap Mounts, GMG Billet Harness Retainers, and Schroth racing harnesses.

This beast also received our GMG Titanium Center Section Exhaust, GMG WC-Evo Long Tube Headers, and our signature”GMG Competition Setup,” which includes a 15mm drop in factory suspension and proper alignment, to make sure this RS is perfect!

This mean green machine is now ready to terrorize the track and the street!

The Passion Keeps Pushing!

During these trying COVID-19 events, GMG Racing is keeping spirits high by remaining open for business, and pushing just as hard as the day before! Not only are we still keeping busy in our main Orange County headquarters, but we are also supporting our customers at The Thermal Club from our remote HQ. We are taking necessary steps to ensure the safety of staff and customers not only back in OC but also on the track. We will continue to offer our world-class support through these unsure times. From track-side support to remote installs of performance upgrades, we want to make sure that your track days and the attention that your car needs is uninterrupted.

Lava Orange GT-Twins

What’s better than a Lava Orange track toy? TWO Lava Orange track toys! One of our recent customers loves this color so much that he needed match his 991.1 GT3 RS with a GT2 RS. To keep them matching, he decided to upgrade them both at the same time.

Both cars sit on Satin Black BBS FI-R wheels, wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo R tires, and are now equipped with GMG Carbon Fiber Dive Planes & GMG Window Air Diffusers.

We setup both of these cars with our signature track package! To keep him safe, we installed our GMG WEC Rollbars in Satin black, GMG Billet Harness Retainers, GMG Sub-Strap Mounting Plates, and Schroth Racing Harnesses.

Obviously we had to bump up the sound on this duo, so the GT3 RS received our GMG Titanium Center Section Exhaust & GMG WC-Evo Long Tube Headers. On the GT2 RS, we installed the GMG WC-GT Sport Exhaust.

Not only does this duo look and sound incredible, but they’ll be properly used regularly on the track! We had the honor of delivering these two incredible machines to him at The Thermal Club, and he was beyond excited!

First ever GMG Titanium Center Section Exhaust on a Guards Red 991.2 GT3 RS

Most of the time when we have a GT3 RS come in to the shop, it’s for our signature GMG WC Center Section Exhaust and our GMG Roll Bar setup. This gorgeous Guards Red RS came in for that reason exactly, but with a twist!

Not only did this GT3 RS receive a Satin Black GMG WEC Roll Bar, but we installed a set of stunning red Sparco QRT-R seats with our GMG Seat Bases. The GMG Seat Bases are needed to properly fit most aftermarket seats in your 911. These seat bases utilize the factory seat mounting provisions on your vehicle’s floor and provide a low-profile, flat surface, for mounting your aftermarket racing seat.

Another awesome addition to this car is our first ever GMG Titanium Center Section Exhaust! Similar to our signature Stainless Steel GMG Center Section Exhaust, this Titanium Center Section is a handcrafted direct bolt-on replacement of the factory center section & is meticulously TIG welded to aerospace standards & specifications.

Weighing in at around 4 pounds, the GMG exhaust system is LESS than 1/3rd lighter than the OE titanium center muffler. It features a proprietary megaphone design to improve sound and performance throughout the entire rev range. The GMG Center Section produces deep, aggressive, exhaust notes at lowers revs, and an exotic wail at higher revs.

This is the first 991 GT3 RS with our lightweight and beautiful GMG Titanium Center Section Exhaust on the road! It’s also one of the best sounding RS on the road as well!
