Pirelli Drivers Cup National Champion Bryce Miller Joins GMG Racing for 2012 IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge
GMG Racing, the multi-series professional racing team and premier performance tuning facility for European vehicles in Southern California, has added twenty-one year old racing sensation and 2011 Pirelli Driver’s Cup National Champion Bryce Miller to the driver lineup for the 2012 IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge.
“Bryce has lots of talent, huge potential, and an impressive season behind the wheel of a Porsche GT3,” stated GMG President James Sofronas. “I see a bright future for him and we look forward to supporting him in 2012.”
2011 was a stellar year for the young driver. He landed the Pirelli Drivers Cup National Championship in his rookie year of sports car racing, claiming victory in his first ever IMSA GT3 Challenge race and taking the checkered flag in 13 of his 16 races.
The Southern California resident grew up racing motorcycles and began racing karts at the age of sixteen. His addition to the GMG Racing lineup is the next step in his development as a racer. GMG Racing brings unsurpassed experience and expertise with Porsche racing and performance across several race series including World Challenge and American LeMans along with 5 seasons racing in the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge.
“My goal is to win another Championship and move up the ladder in sports car racing,” noted Miller, who will run a full race schedule this year. He will drive the No. 35 GMG Racing 2012 Porsche GT3 Cup Car.
Bryce Miller will make his GMG Racing debut when the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge Series kicks off March 14-17 at the 60th Anniversary running of the Twelve Hours or Sebring. Live timing and coverage of the event will be available at www.IMSAchallenge.com.
