GMG survives street fight in Long Beach to finish second in ALMS GT-C -
April 20, 2010 (Santa Ana, Calif.) – Rebounding from a disappointing result at the season-opening 12 Hours of Sebring, GMG Racing let the teams of the American Le Mans Series know they mean business by running up front in GT-C throughout the Tequila Patron American Le Mans Series at Long Beach. Qualifying second for the 100-minute sprint race, the No.32 GMG / Spectra Resources Porsche 911 GT3 Cup ran in second place for the early part of the race as Curtis, who started the race, drove impressively with the race leaders even through lapped traffic.
A pitstop cycle saw the GMG Porsche drop to third place, as Curtis exited the car and Sofronas re-entered the race in third position. Running right behind the two leading cars throughout the final portion of the race, Sofronas was able to move up to second place and finish the race right on the bumper of the winner. GMG introduces its WCGT Sport exhaust system for 996TT-GT2 applications. Designed, tuned and tested on GMG's jaw-dropping WC-996GT2, which won the Time Attack in 2006 (Eurotuner/SuperStreet) this system is hand crafted utilizing T304 stainless steel, mandrel bent tubing. This exhaust is TIG and fuse welded, features a proprietary (patent pending) cross over center section, stainless steel sport mufflers, OBD2 compliant German made 200 cell sport catalyst (No CEL lights) and is finished off with dual bell shaped tips that are unique to GMG's design, which are not only aggressive looking but fully functional as well. This system also offers a very unique machine like sound that is reminiscent of the Carrera GT without any annoying interior drone or resonance. This system is ideal for cars which are making big power utilizing K24 or larger turbo chargers. All systems are hand built per order and are available fully polished or brushed stainless for the motorsport minded individual.

GMG WCGT - Sport Exhaust manifolds for 996TT
Designed tested and tuned on GMG's 996TT-GT2 the GMG WCGT sport exhaust manifolds are made of mandrel bent T304 stainless tubing
are TIG welded and made of 0.180 stainless tubing to ensure years of extreme duty service. The exhaust manifolds also feature
T304 stainless flanges that are CNC machined and utilizes a unique 3 into 1 merge collector to equalize exhaust pulses. One of
the key components of the WCGT manifolds is the use of a thicker wall thickness in the primary tubing to minimize expansion
(growth) and retain turbo energy which improves turbo response and reduces turbo lag. Hand built in the USA.
